decided to put put some more work on this one and try something different for the colors this time.
Also, I knew the b/w pic was going to get plenty attention, but I didn’t expect to get over 20 new watchers today. Well, yeah.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that HF approved a variation of this pic without the bikini. I’m using danheron over HF if you want to see the alternate version. Nothing explicit, I just want to keep this blog safe
Just a quick doodle, trying things I don’t usually draw using ask-warmaker’s character. Also I tried a different pen for the lines, a cheap pen to see how the lines would look. I kinda like it
Oh yeah, in case it isn’t clear, the clothes are supposed to be see-through due to sweating
For part 1 check here!
So this is it, pics in a slightly higher resolution than the colored ones (colors at 72 and bw at 100) in case you people want to do something with them, just be an awesome and kind with a source back here!
Now, in case you guys are curious, this is the sheet I was using for the poses, and the RNG did the rest. Below is the list of every monster and what poses they got; since the RNG was doing its thing, there are a few repeated poses, but considering the characters are very different I decided to leave the selections as it was

Deviantart link for this compilation in a single pic
A giant-electric-demonic-eyeless slug doing yoga, not your everyday sight. Funny thing, the Holy Dragon is supposed to do the same pose than the Wood Golem from the previous pic, but yeah, completely different body, flying and all
Well, so it ends, 38 playable monster classes from the main Disgaea games, using human poses picked by the RNG. I had a blast drawing each one of them, it was a very interesting project all around! It really helped to draw things outside my usual comfort zone and I feel I learned quite a bit, so, success!
I’ll go again through your suggestions next week to look for a new project, though I already have a different idea for a new project that isn’t related to the ideas you people gave me. My idea is for something my gallery sorely lacks, but your ideas are also things I sorely need to expand to, so we will see. I may leave it as a vote for you people
So tell me people, did you like this Disgaea Monsters project? The rough lines, the different coloring, the characters, poses, would you have done something different, etc?
I’m a bit surprised I got two of the plants in the same pic, with similar poses… well, one it’s a golem and the other just a scarecrow with a pumpkin head… ok, so not two of the same. Still similar poses.
Some of the female monsters almost got paired in the same piece, actually; the Succubus and the Nekomata were one after the other in the list.
Also, funny bit, in the original idea for the Lantern, it is smoking, but in the final product, at least in the International release, it is actually using a lollipop. A bit weird considering all the crap that got into the final product, though in other cases it is perfectly valid. The Nekomata’s original character sheet actually has her nipples showing, and only a tiny patch of fur on the front of the crotch, so yeah, that was easier to understand
Just one more to finish the series!
the Mothman got a very basic human pose, but you know, no joints, bones or muscles to bend and all. It can’t scratch the back of its head at all.
The Gargoyle got another very generic pose, but it was fun to draw that beautiful face of its
So, the Nosferatu got one of the female “be sexy” poses… seems he got some of the same than Beowolf and Big Band from the Skullgirls series. You may not have noticed since she didn’t have legs, but the Sea Angel also got a “twist and raise your ass” pose; lack of legs and lack of an actual ass kinda mess with the intent of the pose, and for that we are all thankful.
The Slime… well, yeah… a slime… I could have tried to force it into a humanoid shape but in the game they tend to remain in a liquid state and sling the skull around to attack, so I decided to keep it in a fluid state
"EXP, EXP Everywhere!"
Have I told you I love forcing monsters into boring and random human poses? Because I do.
In case you didn’t realize already, Disgaea has some really cool monsters designs, the Reaper looks very dapper and classy with that suit and red scarf, while the Sea Angel at first looks adorable and cute before you find out where her second mouth is hidden.
So, two muscle dudes for the same pic. I don’t usually draw buff “male” characters, so this was interesting. Also, I should draw more bulges, maybe next project should involve swimming suits
Also, I received a little note earlier, along with others in the past, so I thought I should clarify:
The sketchy/messy look on the lines is on purpose, I use a regular pen to draw the lines and then I pass over them again with a thick marker on certain parts. And yes, I am only coloring the shadows and leaving blank the rest of the colors.
It was a conscious decision, it was on purpose, I meant to do it like this
so, now that I’m looking at the rest of the monsters, there are more “human” monsters, like the Marionette, so the “forced into awkward human pose” job goes to the Mystic Beast this time.
I was having some hard John Talbain vibes in this one, for obvious reasons.
Seems the Catsaber isn’t impressed with the orc’s dancing skills tho, it will need to dance harder. In case the Orc’s pose seems familiar, that is the same pose the Succubus got.
yep, back to the second half of the Disgaea Monsters series.
Have I told you I really like using human poses for monsters? Sure, it’s a bit hard to do a “sitting sadly with knees pulled against chest” pose when you’re using a tree stump without legs, waist, neck or head but that’s part of the fun.
Also a lazy nekomata.
I think the Nosferatu is the only “human” monster left; there are humanoids, but their proportions and extra limbs will make things a bit tricky
did a minor edit
i know the feelin. I once told somebody I didn't like a webcomic and didn't elaborate, I never told them I found it boring but mainly I never told them that it was because I hated the fandom. Sure enough the person immediately thought I was bashing the webcomic and I got so much hate from butthurt fans. Then there are the people who constantly "recommend" me to draw certain things "sighs" I'm sorry for not signing my name, I just don't want to attract more fandumbs
I admit it, there have been some cases like that. I remember a case when I didn’t reply fast enough and I got slapped with the hater tag, and that has definitely put me off of certain series
Then there have been other cases, like certain kinks, where the person asking me to draw something had their gallery FILLED with the same type of pics as far as I could see, and I mean every single pic in two or three pages was the exact same composition, the same pose, the same expression (the expression was the worst, kinda empty eyed and a vacant smile that the person explained to me meant they loved what they were doing), and their “favorites” was full of commissions in the exact same type of pics.
It was obvious the person loved pics like that, but my immediate thought was: “it’s boring”. Why make sixty pics where the only variations are characters from different series and the number of characters?
Then I thought, “I don’t get it”. I was trying to figure out the appeal but nothing came to me.
Luckily the person didn’t push the issue, but there have been plenty of people who are NOT that reasonable and I have to actually block to keep them from sending their hate
lmao I just saw somebody who dislikes Nagisa bash you because you drew her! Then she was all "Wow, I can’t believe today is the day of Megumi Aino’s birth. I’m surprised that nobody else important was born these days". Like, how big of a loser you need to be to dislike a person just because they like a character they don't like? Great job pointing out Nagisa's great points and why she's the prototype of all the heroic Precures this last decade. Do you think you could draw more of her?
it doesn’t matter anon. I don’t care if people are bashing me for something as insignificant like that, it has happened in the past and in this case I don’t even know who this person is. I wouldn’t have even know of this person if you hadn’t let me know
Don’t let their dislike of something ruin your fun, anon. I’m glad you liked the doodle, I found out about the date and only had an hour to think of something; too bad I was thinking too big for the time I have left, otherwise I would have properly colored it…. now, in the spirit of laziness, I could put some colors on it and maybe practice a new coloring and shading thing.
There will be more Precure pics in the future, I just don’t know when. I want to finish with the Disgaea monsters series for example, and then open commissions again
